Look at the perspectives of French and Ukrainian historians and lawyers on genocides in Ukraine

Today, an interdisciplinary conference titled “Ukraine – the territory of genocide: cross-views of French and Ukrainian historians and lawyers on genocides in Ukraine” took place at the Law Institute of the Precarpathian National University.

Our scholars, as well as a professor from the University of Paris XII Val-de-Marne, lawyer from the Court of Appeals in Paris Nicolas Lignol, and a representative of the OSCE, David Pige, participated in it.

The topic of the conference is particularly relevant because the whole world is witnessing an aggression that is based not only on war crimes but also clear indications of crimes against humanity.

Today’s conference provides a solid foundation for a legal assessment of what is currently happening by analyzing the crimes of the Kremlin on a scientific level. Starting from the deportation of Ukrainian children and ending with terrorist acts that devastate entire territories once populated by millions of Ukrainians before the war.

It is also time to give a legal assessment of Russia’s membership in international organizations, as their criminal actions contradict the statutes of these institutions.
